Expect the Unexpected Now

Another necklace? I know, I know. But as I mentioned before, I had a lot of therapeutic shopping to catch up on. This time I revisited my old pal Etsy and ordered from Starlight Deco Dream, a store based in Texas that I've been eyeing up for ages. They have a glorious range of Magical Girl jewelry from Sailor Moon to Puella Magi Madoka Magica, all of it handmade and to die for.

I've had a bit of a Magical Girl spree recently, most of my Christmas list comprises of Magical Girl themed gear from Look Human and I may have been ordering some DVD's from amazon for the sake of nostalgia.

After a lot of thought, I decided to purchase something from the Cardcaptors collection. I remember the first time I saw Cardcaptors after school, after seeing Sakura's first transformation and adorable outfit I was hooked. I tried to make my own cards and my friends and I would pretend to capture them in the playground at break time. Had it not been for the bullying, I probably would have been a cosplay fiend, but dreams were crushed etc.

I really wanted the original Clow Key but they were sold out unfortunately. Instead I treated myself to the Star Key, which appears later in the series and transforms into the Star Wand. I'm unsure as to whether I will purchase the Clow Key now, as I'm probably going to save up for something from every fandom I used to love (next stop, Sailor Moon!).

I've had a lot of compliments about this necklace, whether they've seen the anime or not people just can't help but say how adorable it is. I love geeking out with fellow fans, and it's a subtle way of showing my love for the show without looking completely insane (although I feel that I should mention that it is to scale). It's probably one of my most precious items of jewelry.

Another thing I feel that I need to gush about is how quickly my necklace arrived! Despite having to come all the way from Texas, I had my new Star Key in around 8 days. If that isn't amazing service, then I don't know what is.

You can find Starlight Deco Dream on Facebook, Etsy, and Blogger!
