I Eat Glitter for Breakfast
I've had a bad Barry M problem for a number of years now. Fortunately because I no longer work in Superdrug I don't have to worry about seeing the new collections before they come out and blowing most of my pay on them. Unfortunately because I like to read blogs, I see them anyway, which leads to me lusting after them and ultimately buying most of them.
I'm probably going to end up with the whole collection, because they are pretty gorgeous and perfect for lazy Christmas themed manicures and magical girl transformations.
I ended up choosing 'Rockstar'. 'Catwalk Queen', 'Socialite' and 'Starlet'. I'm starting to wonder how many times Barry M will release an aqua coloured glitter and still get me to purchase it. Admittedly it is nice to see them update with some more glitter shades as I'm not a massive fan of their gelly paints (obviously I purchased them anyway, guh) and we all like the struggle of removing bling polish.
Above you can see an actual photo of the nail polish applied, warping time and reality. If you stare for too long these polishes will blow your mind.
Okay, maybe not, but these still look glorious even on my stubby little nails which I'm not going to photograph in their current state, so you can all knock yourselves out with some paper swatches.
Rockstar has to be my favourite so far, and I've had loads of the girls at work asking about it. It reminds me of the trendy galaxy print that no one could escape from a few months ago. I've decided to wear Catwalk Queen on my toes for my holiday next week, as it's bright and cheery and matches my tattoo.
I'm unsure whether to keep Rockstar on for America, or switch to on of the pink shades to convince people that I'm really girly. So far the lasting power is about average for a Barry M glitter polish, fortunately it doesn't have that rough texture once it dries, though I do recommend a good top coat to ensure maximum mahou shoujo shine.
These polishes retail at £3.99 each and are available from selected Boots, Superdrug and on the Barry M Website.
