Children of the Sheer Revolution

Spring is finally here, brands are tweeting, the days are getting longer and our favourite companies are launching their new goodies! As an Urban Decay girl, I'm obviously going to showcase a few of the products that UD have released for Spring 2015.

Amongst the new shades of Moondusts and the Sheer Revolution Lipsticks, Urban Decay has also released new pressed powders available in a wide range of shades and tones, meaning more choice and a better match, along with their new Naked Skin Weightless Concealer which provides full coverage (even for tattoos!).

Seeing as I'm moving into my new house currently, I decided to treat myself to two of the new launches: Moondust in Ether and Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Rapture.

I was a big fan of these during the christmas period for festive looks, and my love has carried on into the new year. I was so pleased when I saw that they were launching more shades, because if there's one thing we all need in our lives it's Moondust. All of the glitter goodness with none of the fallout, it's a make-up fiends wildest dream.

Feeling like a cream but applying as smoothly as a powder, the formula is unique to the brand. For a quick flash of glitter I normally like to finish of my normal eyeshadow look and the sweep some moondust across my lid using my finger.

For a more intense glitter look, I recommend wetting a flat brush (I use All Nighter Setting Spray, the miracle product) and applying the shadow in a little dabbing motion, finishing the look off by setting your glitter with another swipe of product on your ring finger.

Ether is one of my favourite of the new shades, it's a classic Urban Decay shade and it's very wearable, even if you don't think you can pull off purple hues. My next step will be to try experimenting with the 24/7 pencils to create a really powerful glitter eye.

Moving onto something a little bit different, I decided to go with a classic shade with the Sheer Revolution Lipstick. Whilst they have released some new and different shades, I thought I'd play it safe.

The new range comes in ten shades, some we already know like Sheer Anarchy, Sheer Shame and Sheer F-Bomb and something a little bit more exctiting such as Sheer Slowburn and Sheer Ladyflower. You can check out the range on their website here.

I'm already a huge fan of the new formula, I can more or less apply this lip product with wild abandon rather than having to carefully carve out my lip shade due to high pigments. I also find it to be more moisturising than the original formula, still containing shea butter and jojoba similar to the originals, this time with the added joy of nourishing olive and babassu oils and a nice hit of anti-oxident ingredients; vitamin C and E. So you know it feels good.

Another bonus is even application, which can sometimes be a little sucky when it comes to sheer products, you can even use it as a cream blusher without having to worry about it looking overly wild. Once again, I don't have to panic looking for a compact when applying my new lip BFF.

So, what do you guys think of the new Urban Decay Spring Launches? Who do you think did the best launch of new products so far?
